NYC - July 4th, 2010 - Billy & Toni's House & Ajax's Dance Party!

We spent 4th of July weekend at Alex's Uncle Billy and Aunt Toni's house in New Hyde Park (Long Island). They have a pool in their backyard and it was definitely a great bonus since temperatures that weekend were in the 90s. It was Ajax's first time in the 'big' pool and he did really good. We had a great time visiting with family and friends. I even reconnected with my dear friend, Amy, which was definitely long overdue! Everyone had so much fun it even ended up being a dance party! Bubba (Ajax) even took part in the dancing. I included some pictures from the day and a video of the dance party!

NYC - July 4th, 2010 - Manhattan

On Friday, July 2nd, Alex and I were able to leave Ajax with Suzanne and Tom and enjoy some alone time. So, where do you go while in Long Island without your 7 month old? Manhattan, of course! So, Alex and I drove into Manhattan. It had been a few years since we were last there. It was so great to act 25 again. We spent the day walking around. We went past my old apartment, took a stroll on Roosevelt Island and even took the Subway to complete our NYC experience. Here are some pictures from our great day!

NYC - July 4th, 2010 - Aunt Margo

On our way into New York, we stopped to see Margo Milovic (aka Aunt Margo).  She is Alex's dad's aunt and lives in New Jersey not very far outside of New York.  She couldn't make it to the baptism and had wanted to see Ajax since he was born.  So, we thought we would stop in and see her.  We ended up getting there very late (11pm) and stayed an hour.  Ajax was beyond tired, but put on a happy face for her.  Even though he was super tired, I'm sure he was happy to get out of that carseat - even for an hour.  Here are some pictures of our visit with Aunt Margo.

NYC - July 4th, 2010 - The drive

We went to New York to visit Suzanne and Tom for the 4th of July. Since Grandma was having surgery, she hadn't seen Ajax in some time. Also, Billy and Toni hadn't seen him since he was first born. We decided to drive to New York. I know - it's crazy, right? It wasn't that bad. While I thought the drive was around 12 hours, it ended up being about 15-16 hours. I do think the drive would've been much worse had Ajax already started crawling or walking. He was REALLY good on the way there. I think it's because he had no idea he was going to be in the car for 15+ hours. On the way back though, he definitely knew it was going to be a long drive. Right around Cleveland (our half way point), he decided to go on strike and just started crying like crazy. He wanted out of that carseat so bad. Here are some pictures of us in the car on the way there.

Since everyone was in town for Alex's baptism, Karen and I decided Alex and Anastasia should have some bath time together. We figured they were great pics for embarassing them someday.  ENJOY!

Dancing Bubba - 6/29/10

Here is a video of Alex laughing. Big Alex decided to sing him a little made up song called, "Dancing Bubba." ENJOY!

Alex's Baptism Video - 6/27/10

Here's a video of Alex's baptism taken by my nephew, Matt.  There were so many parts to it, I ended up making it into a 1 minute little video.  ENJOY!

Alex's Baptism - 6/27/10

On Sunday, June 27, 2010, Alex was baptized at St. Vincent DePaul in Chicago.  It was a great day.  Family from all over came in for the occaision.  It was wonderful that everyone took time out of their busy schedules to be here for Alex's special day.  There were 5 babies that were baptized that day and all of them were so good during the 30 minute ceremony.  It was amazing.  When I looked at my pictures, there was an orb in some of them.  It made me feel so good to know that my mom decided to drop in to see Alex's big day!  Here are some pics - see if you can find the orbs.  There are 4 of them.
